New Plants online
Foersom Biogas is a new, state-of-the-art biogas plant that went online in the autumn of 2022. The facility produces unsubsidized biogas, primarily supplied to the German, Swiss, and Southern European markets. Currently, the plant is undergoing reconstruction due to an issue with a tank system and is expected to be back on the biogas grid by early 2025.
Re-building plants
We specialize in upgrading existing biogas plants to enhance efficiency and sustainability. Recent projects include the upgrade of Thorsø Biogas Plant and the ongoing development at Vegger Biogas Plant, which is now being equipped with a state-of-the-art upgrading facility for direct biogas injection into the gas grid. These upgrades not only optimize production but also ensure that more green energy reaches the natural gas network, supporting the transition to a cleaner energy system.
PtX-upbuilding
At Renegas, we take responsibility for a greener future by designing, upgrading, and operating biogas plants that transform organic resources into clean energy. We are now expanding with electrolysis for green hydrogen production to create e-methane, supporting our PtX initiative to reduce fossil fuel dependency and ensure a sustainable energy supply for Europe.
